ThyWord
Our app. You say what's on your heart, out loud, and ThyWord gives you back a Bible verse and a reflection.

Why we built it
My grandmother prayed every morning in Kerala. No app, no phone. Just her voice and Scripture. Somewhere between India and America, I let that habit go quiet.
ThyWord is for the six days between Sundays. The Tuesday afternoon, not the Sunday morning.
How it works
Voice first. You tap one button and talk. The app listens, works out what you're carrying, and matches it to Scripture. The verse always comes from the Bible. The AI never writes it.
We tuned it for quiet prayer too, so a whisper works.
Under the hood
A React Native app for iOS and Android, and a Java Spring Boot backend on AWS. Requests route across several model providers with cost tracked per request. Scripture retrieval runs on pgvector, and the voice pipeline starts with speech to text.
What's next
Shepherd, an AI assistant people can text to reach their church. It's early, and we're talking with churches in Jacksonville.
