Synthetics & Canary combined, can prevent 90% of world's software outages!

How?

With Synthetic Monitoring you can mimic users actions and can automate your end-to-end test cases.

Now run this in lower environments or the-so-called-qa-env to find issues early on.

Once you find that there are no net-new issues after running the synthetic tests for 48 hours (bare minimum), you are good to release the code to production.

Now, release using the canary method, so that you don't release it to the entire user set, but only a subset of your users.

This is the power combination of Synthetics+Canary and it can prevent 90 % of all outages happening across the web.

If you would like to catch a virtual coffee with me to discuss more, I'm only a few clicks away.

PS: Synthetic monitoring requires you to write synthetic tests, preferably written using Playwright or similar such frameworks. Canary deployment is a practice but there are tools such as Harness that have ready-to-go canary deployment processes.
