It's no longer Python or JavaScript.
I watched the Missional AI fireside chat between Pat Gelsinger and Steele Billings of Gloo, and one idea stuck with me.
They called it the reversal of Babel.
For about 70 years, being productive with a computer meant learning its language.
Syntax, commands, structure.
We adapted to the machine. We learned to use the text interface.
Now that is flipping.
The machine is learning to understand us.
Plain speech. Intent.
The way we actually talk.
What moved me was not the technical side of that. It was the spiritual side. So much of faith already lives in spoken words. Prayer is voice. Confession is voice. The oldest forms of worship were never typed.
For the first time, technology can meet people in that natural register instead of asking them to translate themselves into something a screen understands.
I build in this space every day, so maybe I am biased. But I think the quiet story of this era is not that machines got smarter. It is that they finally got close enough to hear us.
Grateful to the Missional AI community for the conversation.
