I've been building in public for a few weeks now and here's my hottest take so far:

The keyboard is a bottleneck for the soul.

Let me explain.

When I started building ThyWord, our voice first prayer companion app, I assumed the hard part would be the AI. Getting the speech recognition right. Matching prayers to Scripture accurately.

And yeah, that stuff is hard.

But the real unlock wasn't technical. It was emotional.

When someone speaks a prayer out loud, they're not editing themselves. They're not backspacing. They're not crafting the perfect sentence. They're just... being honest.

And that honesty is data that text based AI will never fully capture.

Voice carries tone. Pace. Pauses. The crack in someone's voice when they're asking for help. None of that comes through in a text box.

This is why I believe voice is the most underrated frontier in AI right now.

Not voice assistants that set timers. Not voice clones that mimic celebrities.

I'm talking about AI that actually listens to the meaning behind someone's words.

We're building this at ThyWord and sharing the journey openly because I think more founders need to explore this space. The technology is ready. The models are good enough. What's missing is imagination.

Voice isn't just an input method. It's the most human way we have to connect.

And AI should meet us there.
