Notes ·

I'm 11 days late on this post.

I'm 11 days late on this post.

And I'm not sorry.

March 8 was International Women's Day.

I didn't post anything.

I was too busy building a startup that my wife believed in before a single other person on this planet did.

Here's what nobody talks about in the startup world:

Every founder you admire?

There's someone at home holding everything together.

For me, that person is Nisha.

When I told her I was leaving a super long career to build a prayer app, she didn't ask "are you sure?"

She said "go."

She raised four kids while I disappeared into late night coding sessions.

She kept our home running while I chased a fundraise.

She never once said "this is too much."

Not once.

We launched ThyWord on Ash Wednesday this year.

It's a voice first prayer companion that matches your spoken prayers with Scripture in real time.

The world saw the launch.

Nobody saw the woman who made it possible.

That's the thing about founders.

We get the LinkedIn posts.

We get the congratulations.

We get the "you're so brave" comments.

You know who's actually brave?

The person who bet on you when there was nothing to bet on.

Happy Women's Day, Nisha.

I don't deserve you.

But I'm grateful every single day that you chose this journey with me.

To every woman standing behind someone else's dream:

The world doesn't celebrate you enough.

But we see you.

Repost this if there's someone in your life who made your dreams possible.
