My grandmother prayed every single day of her life.

My grandmother prayed every single day of her life.

She told our family that at least one person should spend time in God's presence every day. I carried that with me across continents, career changes, and decades in tech. But I could never live up to it. Not consistently. Not with four kids and a demanding career.

So I built something.

ThyWord is a voice first prayer companion. You pray out loud. The app listens and responds with a Scripture that speaks to what you're feeling.

No chatbot. No celebrity. No AI pretending to be God.

Since launching on Ash Wednesday, more than 2,500 prayers have been spoken into the app by over 1,250 people.

And, every second a prayer is being done on ThyWord. That's incredible and honestly I never thought that it would happen so soon as this.

Gratitude is the most common emotion. Then Spiritual Growth. Then Healing. Then Strength.

This Easter, while the largest faith apps spend millions on Super Bowl ads and celebrity partnerships, we're proving something simpler: people just want to pray and be heard.

I call it the six days between Sundays problem. You leave church feeling connected. By Monday, the noise takes over. By Friday, the connection is gone. ThyWord exists for the Tuesday afternoon, not the Sunday morning.
