Everyone is building AI that talks like God.
Everyone is building AI that talks like God.
We built something that listens like your grandmother.
That line is the headline of a story about ThyWord that ran on MarketWatch this week. Still feels strange to type that sentence.
Six weeks ago we launched a voice first prayer companion on iOS and Android. The idea was simple. Most prayer apps tell you what to say. We wanted one that actually hears you, then meets you in Scripture. No scripts. No performance. The kind of presence my grandmother had. She would close her eyes and pray for me out loud.
I did not expect a financial news site to be the one that picked up the story. But maybe that is the point. The Meaning Economy is real. As AI gets louder and faster, people are quietly looking for something slower and deeper. Six days a week between Sundays, most of us are figuring out faith on our own. ThyWord is for those six days.
Building this has been the most meaningful work of my career. It also sits alongside two decades of enterprise architecture, observability, and platform work that I am still very much in love with. Two tracks, one operator.
If you want to read the piece, it is on MarketWatch under the headline above.
And if you want to try the app, it is called ThyWord on the App Store and Google Play.
