Anthropic just launched Claude Duet.

Claude waited for you to type. Duet doesn't wait.

It watches the apps you connect, briefs you every morning on what needs you, and gets work done while you are away. When it needs a decision, it messages you. Before anything risky like sending a message, paying someone or deleting something, it asks.

Research preview, waitlist only, US Pro and Max users for now. Runs on Opus 5.5. No extra cost, it uses your existing plan limits.

My take is, the chat box was never the destination. The shift is from AI you go to, to AI that comes to you, holding context on your work and your life.

Every assistant is heading there.
