Andrew Chen's argument lands hard from where I sit.

Andrew Chen's argument lands hard from where I sit. I'm building ThyWord from a Jacksonville office, and the policy conversations shaping our industry are happening in rooms I'll likely never be in. Florida and Jacksonville should care about that, because the founders being shaped by these rules are right here, at kitchen tables, on short runways.

Andrew's pitch is simple. Whether your state or city has startups is a choice.

If you want them, you have to make conditions conducive, and you have to actually talk to Little Tech, not just the big incumbents and the industries getting disrupted.

He offers an open door for any policymaker who wants to sit with 5 or 10 genuinely small startups and hear what they actually need.

The throughline is pretty clear. Little Tech is structurally absent from policy debates, and the people writing the rules are hearing a skewed picture of what the industry actually looks like.
